Here is a pattern for your smaller Waldorf style dolls! This feminine little flutter sleeve dress is easy to make and charming on almost any doll. The pattern pieces are drawn with a CAD program, and include highly detailed step-by-step instructions with pictures to guide you through the sewing process. The dress features a high yoke, and the bodice is fully lined. The flutter sleeve is lined with a contrasting fabric and utilizes a special technique to bind the edge. Armholes are finished with a contrast bias binding. The pattern includes the flower applique’ as well as bloomers and dress.
This pattern is sized to fit Waldorf dolls with a chest size of 7.5″-8.5″. It will fit Little Buddy as well as a Pooki Angel. Many variations in body size can be accommodated with minor modifications or simply by adjusting the closure placement.
-Dress Fabric: ¼ yard fabric such as cotton or cotton blends. Not suitable for knits
-Contrast Fabric for sleeves and Bloomers: ¼ yard woven fabric such as cotton or cotton blends. Not suitable for knits. Note: If you want the bloomers longer, you will need to purchase 3/8 yard
-1/8 yard Wonder Under or similar fusing web (Optional: for appliqué)
-Scraps of coordinating fabrics for applique
-Notions: Thread, Velcro, buttons, snaps or buttons for closures
A 20 page pattern in PDF format will be sent to you by instant download after purchase. It is designed to print on standard 8 -1/2″ x 11″ paper. The basic pattern itself is not difficult, but some sewing experience is helpful. The pattern includes “tips” for easy construction, which will help many beginner sewers.
